Piece of news on the research group "Smart Materials" of the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa. A way to produce plastic from vegetal waste, in particular from coffee, parsley and cinnamon. Each vegetal waste has its own peculiarities: i.e. the plastic obtained from coffee waste can absorb the heavy metals dispersed in water.
