Ceva will be responsible for the warehousing activities and handling of Lavazza's coffee packs in the company's Turin production plant, moving approximately 18.5 million packs a year.
According to Ceva, a critical factor in the selection of the company as Lavazza's new partner was its ability to achieve a high level of integration with their existing operational structure and also develop solutions for the entire supply chain.
Gianfranco Sgro, president of Ceva for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "The high levels of competence, reliability and professionalism of our team were key reasons behind Lavazza's decision to award us the contract for a significant part of their logistics activities.
"We look forward to creating an even closer collaboration with the customer, in order to contribute to the ongoing development of their supply chain, to further increase its efficiency."
