Caffeine levels in coffee sold by high street 'varies wildly'

According to a new study, coffee drinkers may not be getting the amount caffeine they expect in their drinks, with levels varying "largely" between popular high street chains. The latest research from Which? analysed caffeine content in an array of drinks sold by chains Caffe Nero, Costa Coffee, Greggs, Pret a Manger and Starbucks. It found that a medium cappuccino from Costa contains 325mg – almost three-and-a-half times as much as the same drink at Starbucks, at 89mg.
