Piece of news on "Poison In Your Coffee", a report published by four international organizations—Coffee Watch, Inkota-network, Deutsche Umwelthilfe, and Pan UK. According to the report, coffee production is heavily dependent on pesticides, many of which are banned in consumer countries but still exported to and used in producing countries. The report concludes that consumers are largely unaware of pesticide residues in their coffee, as labeling is insufficient and supply chain checks are often ineffective.
