De' Longhi CEO Fabio De' Longhi has announced that the Italian appliance maker expects to reach its full-year targets despite a tough economic climate. The company is preparing to record a 7.6 per cent increase in first-half revenues to around 685m euros, boosted in particular by the strong performance of small electrical household appliances such as espresso machines. The acquisition of Kenwood, which has a factory in China, has broadened De' Longhi's horizons from a production perspective. Mr De' Longhi said the company had grown significantly in Eastern Europe and the Far East, but he admitted that performance was weaker in the US, the UK and Italy.
