Gaggia coffee makers, found in expensive kitchens, cost up to £1,200, and the larger professional versions, used in coffee shops, cost more than £4,000. Gaggia UK was independent of Saeco, the global owner of the Gaggia brand, and was unaffected by the acquisition of Saeco last week by Philips, the Dutch electrical goods producer.
