In 2025, the sector recorded a record number of 39 roastery closures. In 2025, sales of roasted coffee in the Ho.Re.Ca. channel grew by 9.4% in value, reaching €808.0 million. However, this figure requires careful interpretation, as the growth is entirely attributable to a sharp rise in average prices, which offset a significant decline in volumes.
