The factory will open on Thursday near Kraft's packaging facility in the Gorelovo industrial zone, spokeswoman Anastasiya Zaslavskaya said yesterday in a telephone interview from Moscow. The plant will produce 5,000 tons a year of its Jacobs Monarch, Carte Noire and Maxim brands and may decide to expand annual output to 10,000 tons, Ms. Zaslavskaya said. Kraft, based in Northfield, Ill., wants to meet rising demand and use the infrastructure around its existing plant, Ms. Zaslavskaya said. "We now have the full cycle of production, from processing coffee beans to packaging," she said. Nestle SA is the world's largest food company.
