After Nestlé announced a few months ago that it was spending 150 million euros to increase its capacity production of Nespresso capsules at its Romont (Switzerland) site, its great rival JDE Peet's replies. Dutch heavyweight (7 billion coffee and tea) with brands such as Jacob's, L'Or, Peet's, Senseo, Tassimo, Maison du Café, Grand'Mère, has just unveiled an investment project of 110 million euros over the next 18 months. The aim is to boost its production of aluminium capsules by 60%, currently 5 billion per year.
