Luckin corre nei ricavi e Starbucks nei negozi, i conti del caffè si ribaltano (Luckin's revenues soar, and Starbucks in stores, and the coffee industry's accounts are upside down)
Two quarterly results in the same week, two contrasting stories. Chinese challenger Luckin Coffee and American giant Starbucks have just released their results, and the numbers reveal a paradox. Those who grow revenue faster sell less per store. Those who decline in revenue sell more at existing locations. Luckin Coffee, in the second quarter of 2026, reported net revenues of RMB 15.9 billion (approximately $2.34 billion), up 28.5% year-over-year. Starbucks closed its third fiscal quarter of 2026 with consolidated revenues of $9.3 billion, down 1% but returns to store growth.
