Sara Lee has acquired the control of the coffee company Café Moka, from Sao Paulo, created 1912 and supplying coffee beans to 4,000 retailers via its own distribution system. In 2007 Moka had sales of US$65mil and would now be part of Sara Lee\'s coffee brands family brand Pilao, Caboclo, Cafe do Ponto, Uniao and Seleto.

Sara Lee is the largest coffee roasting company in Brazil but is beign shadowed by Santa Clara that has a stronghold in the Northeast region and recently expanded to the Southeast acquiring Pimpinella at Rio de janeiro; in 2005 Clara joint ventured with Strauss Elite, that has the Tres Coracoes coffe brand the most relevant in Minas Gerais state.
