The German antitrust authority (Bundeskartellamt) is reported to have imposed a fine of over 1.4m euros on the household appliance manufacturers SEB Deutschland and Krups for alleged unlawful price manipulation. Both companies are subsidiaries of the French group SEB.

Between 2003 and 2005, the two companies are alleged to have attempted the unlawful fixing of minimum prices for some of their products on the market through economic pressure on distributors, including threats to freeze sales premiums and halt supplies in the case of sales for sums below the unbinding recommended prices.
