A few months ago a reusable coffee cup was a status symbol, wet wipes a sign of morale failure. Then came Covid-19 and plastic has become a way of safety. The eco coffee cup, such a totem of the impressionable do-gooder, was turned away at Starbucks and most coffee shops. This was despite there being a totally safe “contactless coffee” method of the barista making the coffee in the ceramic cup, then pouring it into our reusable cup.
