Coffee doesn’t have to be a guilty pleasure. There’s increasing evidence that it protects the heart, gut and mind. Alex Ruani, a researcher in nutrition science at University College London and chief science educator at the Health Sciences Academy, says: “There are so may health properties of coffee, as outlined in many studies, including one published in the Advanced Food and Nutrition Research journal.”
